Break your schedule, spend some quality time
Kirtan Thakkar
Life is all about learningIt's hard to get some quality time in our day to day, busy, stressful life. Wake up in the morning, get ready, go to the office, work work work, come home tired, have dinner and sleep to start the same cycle again tomorrow. It's difficult to get some free time for yourself and spend some quality time with your friends and family.
This small moments all together make a very big impact on your life. The very first thing I have noticed is, it releases your stress. And releasing stress ultimately turns into happiness. Isn't it what you want all your life?
How many times have you planned with your friends for a hangout or a trip? Have you noticed the ratio of it being successful? It might be nil if I'm not wrong at guessing. So what can you do about it? I have a few suggestions.
Break your schedule
You are bound by your schedule. Allow yourself to exit it sometimes and meet your friends and family to spend some quality time. It's good to follow your schedule and complete everything on time. But, sometime you should allow yourself to exit it and have some time for yourself. It's good, trust me.
Don't feel guilty about breaking into your schedule
When you will break your schedule and allow yourself to have some quality time, sometimes (or most of the time) you may feel guilty about breaking into your own schedule. Don't feel guilty. It's rather good to allow your self to spend time with your self or your family and friends. You should feel good about it and not feel guilty.
Relax and enjoy when you are into it
Let the time pass. Stop checking your watch or phone all the time when you are at that moment. Just be in it 100%. Don't get hyper or be in a hurry. You have broken into your schedule to allow your self, quality time. Let's have every bit of it. Enjoy that moment one hundred percent. Take a deep breath, everything is alright, and if it is not, it will be.
Don't plan too much, just make it happen on the spot
Long plannings of meeting some friends have always been a disaster. Just make it on the spot. Leaving office early or having a lazy Sunday afternoon? Call your friend if he/she is available and meet it on the fly. That makes it even more memorable than the one that you planned for so long.
Just be in it. Convert your time to quality time. It matters, a lot.
What does immortality mean to me? That we all want more time; and we want it to be quality time. - Joan D. Vinge
